Reese is still in the hospital growing and just learning how to eat. Last night she weighed 5 pounds. She only lost down to 4 lbs 4 ounces so she has really done well. The doctor told Erin the other day that she was doing "marvelous." Such good news to hear. She passed her hearing screening and all other screenings they have done. Everyone in the NICU thinks she is just beautiful. Of course we feel the same way. She has been moved to the Continuing Care Unit which is just an extension of the NICU and the care is no different. She only has her NG tube to complete her feedings in case she doesn't finish them. She gets 20 minutes to eat and after that they tube what she didn't drink. The reason for this is so she can rest. Last night she took 50 cc's and that is close to her goal. She must consistently take her goal feeling for a certain length of time before she can come home.
We are very anxious to introduce Grant to his little baby sister!

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY GRANT!!!!
We all celebrated Grant’s 2nd birthday on Saturday, February 12. He has grown into such a big boy and is so sweet. His favorite things (at 2 years old) are playing outside, playing inside, okay, just playing anywhere. He is always excited when Luke, Rylee, and Parker are around and he wears himself out playing with them. He and Parker are about the same size and have had a couple of tiffs that almost came to blows! It’s kind of funny to watch them to see who gets the upper hand. At 2 he weighs almost 30 pounds (just a couple of ounces shy of 30) and is tall for his age. He is starting to talk and is very particular about most things. If he doesn’t want to change clothes then he just doesn’t. Don’t even try! He doesn’t care if they are dirty or wet. He probably likes what he is wearing. The “twos” are upon us and we love him just the same.
Happy 2nd Birthday Sugarman!
And for more great news. Grant is going to be a big brother to a LITTLE SISTER! I am thrilled that I will be having another granddaughter (and so is Rylee). She should be here around the first of July and her name will be Reese Gentry Oguin. We can’t wait to meet her!

Picture Alert (#2 - Also see #1)
Santa came to see Grant on Christmas Eve. It's just too much to cram in one day and he didn't really care what day Santa came to see him.
When he first came out of his room that morning he was really mad. He had no idea what was going on!

Picture Alert! (#1)
I have not had time since Jeff's accident to update my blog so here I go with lots of pictures and a few comments!
In November, Luke's (#22) football team went to the Championship but didn't win. There was only one game in which Luke didn't make a touchdown! It was a great season and he can't wait to play again next year.
Rylee had her first Mother/Daughter Christmas Cookie Tea and the girls had so much fun sharing cookies, ornaments, and other goodies to eat.
